Wilbur O'Ferrall is an independent contractor, sometimes engaged by the Polo Training Foundation. Although he instructs players of all ages, he specializes in youth clinics, especially for programs such as Pony Club and 4-H. He can teach young riders the basics of the game and introduce their own personal horses to polo in a weekend clinic.
Wilbur is also a USPA certified Umpire. Having played the game since he was ten, Wilbur played for the UC Davis Polo team that won the Pacific Coast Championship four years in a row. He was captain of the team that won the 1989 National Title. In 1990 he was chosen PTF Male Intercollegiate Player of the Year, and was elected to the All American Intercollegiate Polo team. Wilbur travels extensively to teach polo and umpire clinics throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Robin Sanchez grew up under some of the best coaches and instructors of the game – including Corky Linfoot, Ronnie Tongg, Graham Thomas and Rege Ludwig. As she says, "I've been in polo since Disco was cool." Her father managed polo clubs around the country including Willow Bend and Royal Palm in their "heyday" and her mother won the very first USPA Women's Handicap tournament (and additional tournaments) so polo is in the blood. Robin ran and coached the successful Florida Junior Polo program from 2000-2007 where numerous current high goal players got their start. She was the director and head instructor at Brushy Creek Polo Ranch from 2007 until its closing in 2010 which was well known for its polo camps, I/I polo and clinics. She and her husband, Ricardo, train horses and have successful ponies all over the country in every level of polo from club polo to high goal. She also managed and ran polo schools at several polo clubs, coached several I/I teams and has given polo clinics and worked with clubs and instructors around the country. She spent many years as a Field Director for the Polo Training Foundation. She was Director of Content at Poloskilz.com, which she helped Kim Snider create to bring polo instruction to the internet. Robin was the driving force that helped create the USPA Certified Polo Instructor program and is a CPI Certifier. Robin is a USPA Umpires LLC Professional Umpire and is active on several USPA committees. She is a Certified Horsemanship Association Master Instructor and ACI certifier, an AQHA Professional Horseman, and a Hurlingham Polo Association certified overseas polo instructor. She is a CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor and an ASEP certified sports coach. Robin has also been trained as an EMT and an ImPACT test proctor. In addition to her efforts with USPA and the sport of polo, Robin is a sustainable agriculture farmer and, quite possibly, the only vegetarian raising beef cattle. As a polo clinician, Robin likes to concentrate on the equine aspect of the game by improving riding skills specific to polo and communication with the horses. She uses videos for swing analysis, strategy sessions and rules review. As an instructor certifier, she is also helpful at improving the techniques of the existing club instructor(s) and her polo management experience can help give insight to improve the clubs she visits.
